In this world, you are a considered an adult at 15 and not everyone is educated, this is not a rich society, this society requires teenagers to function as adults probably due to the economic strain of supporting them or perhaps the life expectancy of this society also plays a part.

No Tactics Or Potions
The fact they were rookies really showed with such poor understanding of the strategy required to take on goblins as well as their own strengths and weaknesses. A mage who does not factor in casting time, a swordsman who does not understand distance, they were not trained specifically to use their skills for slaying goblins, but these are still basic things they should understand.

I did like the way the experienced Goblin slayer introduced tactics into the first episode. He said he practiced a lot and his face is hidden so we have to expect some backstory with the character maybe when the actual face is revealed. Was his mother you know, is he like blade half Goblin half human is that why he hunts and keeps his face hidden. He could be like blade with goblins

The goblin slayer was quick to leave things behind useless equipment and inexperienced goblin slayers who were as good as dead, he leaves things in the past easily he must be coming from somewhere in life that forced him to learn how to move on.


Failed To Violate The Holy Shrine
That's rape scene was cruel but I'm wondering why the hobgoblin did not take part he would have destroyed her.  These goblins are evil they laughed when they smelt the priestess pee herself from fear.  They are sinister even of not considered intelligent they are smart in enough to conceive of the pain they are causing and they enjoy it that is one definition of evil.
I'm wondering why they tried to get some from the half-dead mage instead of the priestess is it age or maybe some holy element that makes her holy grail uninhabitable for their devil spawns.

As I predicted the in an earlier chapter review the dark moon family grand elder is taking part in the search for the treasure. By the looks of things, they are going to need him. The grand elder seems calmer and less vindictive than the Dark moon family patriarch. The fact that the dark moon family patriarch being aware that Ling Yu wants his position is no surprise but the fact he would actually have had his cultivation crippled if not for the grand elder Liang Yin is surprising, at least to me.

I thought White fang had been shot when I saw this panel

A chapter ago the dark moon family patriarch said the demon beast within mount beiming were at most fifth or sixth heavenly realm and the first demon beast Xinghe and crew run into is a smug looking scarlet serpent of the 7th heavenly realm. That Scarlet serpents face when it saw white fang he did not even contemplate attacking. Judging how by smug that serpent was it was probably used to being the big dog until it ran into a bigger dog so even though undoubtedly there will be more demon beast over level 7 I doubt there are many.

I think the thing they sense watching them is a dragon of high level 8 or above and that Xinghe plans on trading the treasure if the find it first for a long-term peace deal with the dark moon family.  No mention of the dragon vein by Xinghe so maybe they don't know and are only after the Tailong treasure.

The Foreshadowing Is Real

Barren Hills Turbulent Waters, Ominous Aura and easy for accidents to happen basically everything here is ready to kill you.

Only 10 experts should be enough the dark moon head patriarch is in way over his head and once again Liang the voice of reason although he goes along with his father suicide plan. This could lead to him becoming head patriarch I can just imagine them having a scar and Mufasa moment before Liang drops his father into a heard of demon beast running from a larger demon beast.

For there to be an Ominous aura something must be generating that aura. They are looking for a dragon vein what if it is guarded by a level 8 or 9 dragon.

The Geomancer said they had sensed a killing aura may be the reason the no one else has gotten the dragon vein or Tailong treasure in 700 years is not because they did not find it but because they did and did not make it out alive. How long do dragons live what hundred maybe thousands of years?

This is the most dangerous game of treasure hunt ever played with so many experts from all families not only do those other families also want the wealth but maybe they are also trying to avoid being potentially bent over by an even more powerful dark moon family.

Who's In Charge?
Xinghe did not tell the patriarch about the plan, although he did not take the role as head patriarch Xinghe sure acts like it. A couple of reviews ago review I stated I thought the dark moon family grand elder, the current dark moon family patriarch father would make an appearance because he has lived longer and had longer to lust after the Dark Moon families ancestors treasure. This is about to get good.

Asking Liang Yu what he should do, is like some kind of manga riddle, when does the devil ask Satan's spawn for advice.

Only now is Liang's father starting to realize what Liang could come up with and this is only just the surface. Of course, Liang could suggest putting on a show of weakness and abandoning dignity as I mentioned in the last review he has no dignity or honour to abandon and also no ego he just adapts for his own benefit.

Are They All In On It
To be honest I thought this hole secret treasure thing was all a load of hogwash and Liang's father seems just as surprised as me. In the back of my head, I'm just thinking are the subordinates who keep confirming this Tianlong treasure are in on the plan.

Xinghe Can Handle That
They have been back to back cultivating yet Yu Ning is so embarrassed, Xhinge on the other hand is more relaxed with Yu Ning since the paired cultivation.
It must be pretty early in the morning for them to stroll around together undisturbed but why wold Xinghe think Yu Ning was sleeping in the bath. Yu Ning is dressed more formally than usual is she planning on going into some kind of battle?

Liang: "I wouldn't dare deceive you" This guy would sell out his own mother for power I don't believe we have seen her for all we know she was a victim of one of Liang's plans.

The Dark Moon family patriarch does not know his son at all makes you wonder if the relationship is just a formality in a world were only bloodlines determine value. Liang, on the other hand, understands how to manipulate his fathers lust for power.

They have been looking for the treasure Liang claimed had been found for generation  mysterious Dark Moon  their grand elder has had an even longer life and an even longer time to want to find that treasure, instead of sending lots of dark moon family experts they can send fewer experts by using their strongest thus keeping the eights realm expert out of the fight. I think that is what Liang is going for, the dark moon family having to divide their forces.

Morality 0 Wisdom 10

When Xinghe was thought to be dead Liang only thought about the loss Xinghe as it benefited him to have Xinghe become more powerful.

Liang was disappointed when he thought Liang was dead because he benefited from his life and when he discovered the other main bloodline descendants other than him had had there cultivation crippled he saw how his chances of becoming dark moon family patriarch had improved dramatically. He had no desire for revenge for his family and this guy is a great example of morality and wisdom being two different things that some use for the good of themselves and others and some just for themselves.

The benefit of a guy like that is he does not fall into ego and allow his emotions or even blood attachments to cloud his judgment he only adapts to situations so they benefit him. Who knows what kind of plan he came up with but for a guy as smart as Xinghe to go along with it tells you it is good. Maybe his plan was for peace by merging the families through marriage just look at those Nala bed eyes.

Another Cliffhanger 
After the romantic tension finally hit its peak I thought Xinghe returned home for a little R & R and then the vice principle goes and drops another cliffhanger on us. I thought his main reason for showing up would be to talk about the upcoming tournament. Are there unexpected enemies the vice principle is hinting at or is he warning young Xinghe that he may never dance again the way he did with Liang.
